Dunedin, the mid-market private equity house scooped the award for ‘Excellence in Portfolio Management’ at the Unquote” British Private Equity Awards last night. The judges commented “Dunedin won for its 100 day action plan and high amount of investment professionals dedicated to investments post transaction. Its consistent high-quality approach to managing its portfolio has to be lauded”.
The awards celebrate excellence and innovation in the UK private equity sector and the category recognised the hard work that goes in behind-the-scenes to make portfolio companies more efficient and effective organisations. The award criteria focused on the active management of portfolio companies, examining capital structure, marketing, corporate governance, recruitment and M&A.

As market confidence picks up we are now seeing an increase in quality assets being put up for sale and Dunedin is actively looking to invest in companies that are performing well and that have opportunities for future growth.”
This month Dunedin announced the expansion of its London and Edinburgh offices and the recruitment of David Williams as a director Jamie Moodie as an associate. Dunedin’s London office has moved to larger premises in St James’s to support the continued growth of the company.
The annual Unquote” British Private Equity Awards took place at The Northumberland Hotel on 4 November 2010. The award categories covered the entire private equity industry and rewarded innovation and flair by companies and individuals who have contributed tangible and measurable success within their sector of the industry over the last twelve months.
